Plantar Fasciitis - Foot/Ankle Compression Sleeves
Forget everything you know about normal socks. Your brand new Plantar Fasciitis Sleeves have been stitched by the world class Germany MERZ stitching machine, using the Best Nylon / Lycra Fabrics. Your Sleeve will adjust, expand, and move to the curves of your feet, without losing its important fascia compression (noticeable on lower grade sleeves). The compression levels even remain after multiple machine washes! It is important to give your sleeves 3-5 days of interval use in order to truly achieve the benefits.
Best method for putting your New Plantar sleeves on:
1. Scrunch up the Sleeve
2. Put your Toes Through
3. Slowly Bring the Sleeve up towards Heel
4. Make Sure the Heel Sits Properly in Heel Cup
5. Roll remainder up the Ankle
To receive maximum benefit from the compression sleeve support, we recommend wearing this product underneath your sock.
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel and foot pain. It involves pain and inflammation of a thick band of tissue, called the plantar fascia, that runs across the bottom of your foot and connects your heel bone to your toes.
Certain types of exercise. Activities that place a lot of stress on your heel and attached tissue — such as long-distance running, ballet dancing and dance aerobics — can contribute to an earlier onset of plantar fasciitis.
Faulty foot mechanics. Being flat-footed, having a high arch or even having an abnormal pattern of walking can adversely affect the way weight is distributed when you’re standing and put added stress on the plantar fascia. Obesity. Excess pounds put extra stress on your plantar fascia. Occupations that keep you on your feet. Factory workers, teachers and others who spend most of their work hours walking or standing on hard surfaces can damage their plantar fascia.

The life of the product depends on usage. Just like a pair of running shoes, the life of Compression Socks varies with the amount of miles you put on them. Based on typical usage, you should expect them to last about 6-8 months. It’s recommended that if it has been 6 months since your last pair of new Compression Socks, you order a new pair to ensure you are receiving the optimal amount of compression.

We do not recommend that you “recover” in calf sleeves (ie. keep on for extended amount of time after run) – while wearing the calf sleeves during periods of inactivity, the blood can begin to pool in your feet. This is especially true on a long flight – never wear sleeves on an airplane!

Acupressure Massage Ball
When someone gives you a deep tissue massage, they use their palms/fingers/elbows to apply pressure to help relax tight muscles and make you feel better. Physix Gear Acupressure Lacrosse and Spiky Balls are hard/dense, and mimic this deep release massage using your own bodyweight.
TIPS
- Begin with light pressure and short duration and progress as tolerated.
- Start with once a day and progress to 3 sessions a day.
- Breathe normally and try and relax the body part which is being massaged.
- Most exercises can be progressed from using a wall in a standing position, to laying down on the floor utilising the effect of gravity and body weight.
- If laying down, start by working on a soft surface and progress to harder surfaces.
- Don’t forget to hunt for the trigger points and try applying a firm sustained pressure to them.
- Consult with your therapist if unsure or if symptoms appear to be increasing
Kinesiology Tape
Your tape can remain on for a number of days since it is water resistant, however we recommend that you keep it on for a maximum of 5 days. The length of time will vary depending on the area of application. For example, applying to the feet may only last 1-2 days (more wear and tear) whilst the postural area could last 5+ days.
Kinesiology Tape can be worn from children to the elderly.
We recommend using Kinesiology Tape for Mild to moderate pain on movements or exercise, and to help improve any athletic functions.
TIP
At least one hour before exercise, prep the skin. Clean and dry skin vigorously to completely remove lotion, dirt, oils or excess hair (rubbing alcohol works well). If in humid climate, apply tape indoors to ensure moisture does not interfere with adhesive while it sets. Clip excessive hair to 1/8” long for better adhesion.
**Sensitive Skin**
May irritate very sensitive Skin. Be sure to test a small 1-inch patch of Ktape over the skin for first-time use on sensitive skin.
Round The Corners – Top Tip
In preparing your Kinesiology tape, rounding the corners has been rated #1 Top Tip. Corners of the tape often become catching points on clothing, and other things which could affect the Kinesiology tape’s adhesiveness. Cutting the edges is a vital step in helping stop the tape from peeling off, and may give you an extra 2-3 days of usage!
